The Black Country – Our Plans
To use the 2012 Games to encourage people to adopt a more active lifestyle through sport, physical activity and culture.
To promote Pre-Training Camps as high quality and accessible venues leading up to London 2012, such as Aldersley Leisure Village and University of Wolverhampton.
To support local businesses by raising awareness and skills to gain London 2012 or associated contracts, building on the success of companies such as Barhale.
To promote the Black Country as a place to work, live and visit and use the 2012 Games to help attract conferences, initiatives and events to raise the profile of the sub-region and provide a real and measurable difference to the local communities.
