The London 2012 Open Weekend is the UK’s biggest celebration of cultural, educational, sporting and environmental activity.
Over the past three years, the London 2012 Open Weekend has featured hundreds of events including festivals, arts performances, free films, music performances and workshops.
This year over 42,000 people from across the West Midlands region took part in 56 events as part of London 2012 Open Weekend, which ran from 23-25 July 2010. From arts events, sporting events to music festivals and historical exhibitions, there was literally something for everyone.
Next year, London 2012 Open Weekend will mark the beginning of celebrations counting down one year to go until the opening of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.
